In this mid-century gem of a home in Sagaponack, the clients were hoping to expand and restore their original house designed by Mark C. Matthews, an apprentice of the famed architect Norman Jaffe. For their updated renovation they enlisted the help of Russell Riccardi for the architecture and our firm for the interiors to create a modern barn aesthetic. The original stone fireplace served as the inspiration for the color palette as well as for our choices for furnishings, which include a mix of authentic mid-century modern pieces alongside furniture by contemporary makers. A full feature of this house was run in Hamptons Cottages & Gardens in August, 2019.
